I know Susan Lindsey and she was a force to be recogned with. A great person and a dedicated protector of her land and the wildlife. This book is an awesome recount of her life and her dedication to what is right.

Very enjoyable read. Susan Lindsley writes in such a way that you can easily imagine the walk through the woods and the encounters with various wildlife. Many times while reading, the book brought back memories of the excitement I felt when seeing movement out of the corner of my eye to suddenly see a doe standing right in front of me or just a random animal moving through the woods. It makes me miss the days when I lived in Georgia and walked through the southern woods on every weekend I could spare.
Once in a blue moon a hunter comes along who is as talented with a Papermate and a Cross pen as she is with a Remington and a Berreta shotgun. Susan Lindsley is one of those rarities. Her stories put me in the scenes with her. I felt her passion for the hunt. Great Reading!
